Considering there are an estimated 55 million Hispanics in the country, ensuring your promotional efforts reach this Spanish-speaking population is smart for your business' success. Of course, you may not know how your current digital and internet marketing techniques can be altered to reach the Hispanic population. Here are a few tips.

Focus on Video

Websites and blog posts are beneficial for marketing, but video is becoming one of the best ways to market your business, especially for Hispanic consumers.

Recent research has shown Hispanics are watching more television and videos than ever. The Hispanic population also uses their smartphones and other mobile devices to stream TV and videos on streaming services and social media.

Because of the importance of video, utilizing it to market your products and services can be an excellent way to reach and appeal to Hispanic consumers.

Connect Culturally

If you want to predominantly reach the Hispanic population, you need to insert elements of the Hispanic culture into your marketing attempts.

Most Hispanics feel a great sense of pride and connection to their culture, which not only includes their way of life, but also how they act, live, work, pray, and play. Therefore, incorporating some of this culture into your website, advertising, social media campaigns, and videos will appeal to most Hispanics.

It is also important to remember that many Hispanics in the United States have a deep connection to their birth country AND the United States. For example, they may have been born and lived for a while in Mexico, but moved to the United States later and have lived in their new country for a good period of time.

Make sure to incorporate a combination of Hispanic culture and American culture to really appeal to the Hispanic consumers today.

Avoid Complete Spanish

If your goal is to reach the large Hispanic audience of consumers, your first inclination may be to use Spanish only when designing website content, blog posts, social media posts, and videos. However, this could actually do more harm than good.

While it is true many Hispanics speak Spanish solely, a large group of Hispanics in the United States will speak and enjoy speaking English. It is fine to use Spanish in some marketing aspects, but do not rely on it heavily. Combine both Spanish and English to reach Hispanic consumers and their family/friends.
